Interesting Sales Last Week
In Seattle, 16 condo and townhouse sale transactions closed last week including a lofty studio in Pioneer Square, an 1,800 sf condo in Queen Anne, and the only new construction condo sale for the week which was at Escala.
Urban Living took note of this 597 square foot studio at Our Home Hotel when it was listed way back in June 2010 for $332K. Six price adjustments later it sold for $250k which is $20K more than it was purchased for in 2004 but $55K less than the most recent owners paid for it in 2007.
In Queen Anne, this 2-bedroom condo on the 4th floor of Balfour Pointe was the highest-priced sale from last week at $739K. The 1,812 square foot unit last sold for $6ooK in 1999 and has been been looking for a buyer since Oct 2010.
A 910 square foot condo at Escala sold last week for $412K — that’s $453 per square foot. This recent sale is one of 5 west-facing units with this floor plan that have sold in the past three months (of 14 closed sales). And with about 8 sales closed since they celebrated reaching 100 in August, it seems Escala is still relatively on track to sell out in 3 years.
