New Furniture Line @ Cafe Vita Pop Up
I know, I said I had only one shopping tip this year. I lied.
Mostly that’s because I just stumbled across Brackish, a brand new furniture line that is launching its freshly welded and sanded wares at Cafe Vita’s Pop Up on Capitol Hill this weekend. If you are in the neighborhood on Sunday between the hours of 11AM and 5PM, you should stop in and check ’em out — especially if you are in the market for some locally-crafted, industrial style furniture.
You’ll also find pieces from Whitcomb & Company along with a selection of locally-made jewelry, candles, and terrariums; plus, a couple of carefully curated leather furniture pieces from Italy.
But I also snapped some shots of the showroom to give you an idea of the wares. The chairs are industrial steel with Pendleton wool seat covers. Prices start at $400 for the dining chair, and the wood+steel stool you see in front is $750, I believe.
The dining and coffee tables? Custom pieces crafted in a shop in Renton, not sure on prices. The designer and craftsman, Andy, also does commission pieces if you have a special need.
So there you have it – a brand new furniture line that would go oh so well with your lofty digs.
