Avalon Loft Remodeled By Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam

By January 30, 2012

Avalon

Often times when the primary photo of a listing is a view photo I never click through to check the place out. For whatever reason, I clicked on 22 John St Unit 39 this morning to find the place not only has a view of the Sound and the Space Needle but the place is a sweet loft at The Avalon with a connection to Pearl Jam:

Own a piece of Seattle’s music history! Form meets function in this stunning loft remodeled by noted architect Mike Mora for a member of Pearl Jam.

I tried to figure out which member of Pearl Jam but failed. Anyone know??

And at $340k for 1,000 square foot place this seems like a pretty good deal but keep in mind it is a co-op and doesn’t have parking.

Update: Thanks to a commenter for tipping us off that it was Jeff Ament‘s place:

It really is a genuine bit of history, not only because the remodel work was done by someone who befriended Jeff before PJ got huge, but because Jeff lived there back in the day too – in the Cameron Crowe movie PJ2o Stone describes how he went over there so he and Jeff could have a first listen to the audition tape mailed in by Eddie Vedder.

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
