Holy Magnolia! This modern custom designed northwest contemporary home was built by architect Bruce Donnelly, and  (no surprise here) was featured in Seattle Homes and Lifestyle Magazine.

The exterior almost mimics popular East Asian architecture, with the stacked flat leveled roofing, and build-outs looking out across the Magnolia bluff. The 5 bedroom, 4 bath home was completely remodeled in 2005, with clean finishes and immaculate attention to detail. The price just dropped down to $1,249,000 from $1,250,000 when it was listed in March, but the home has actually shed over $100,000 from when it was originally listed back in 2003.

If you dig stones, you’ll appreciate the home featuring soapstone, limestone, sandstone and Pennsylvania Blue stone to name a few. It has beautiful Brazilian Cherry wood cabinetry, although lacking in diversity around the home (a little matchy-matchy for my taste). The master is located on the lower level, but I almost prefer the upstairs bedrooms with the balcony overlooking the Olympics. Also the super close proximity to Discovery Park puts this listing high on my list!
