A penthouse unit at The Talisman just came onto the market. If you like an open layout with lots of natural light and views of Downtown Seattle , this is worth a look.

The 2-bedroom and 1.75-bath unit is listed at $599,950. It last sold for $575,000 in October 2005. The top of the Redfin listing says the unit’s square footage is 1,432, though the finished sq. ft. is listed at 1,196. I wonder if the seller is counting the outdoor deck. That would make a difference in the price per square foot, though the overall price is reasonable for the size, proximity to downtown, and top-floor location. The HOAs are $800 per month.

Penthouse unit at 1000 Union St

From the pictures, it looks like this is the penthouse unit in the northwest corner of the 1965 building at Terry Ave & Union. I love views but I personally would not enjoy looking into or having folks look in from the nearby Elecktra condos to the west and the Meridian Tower to the north. At least the pull-down shades look nice…
