A Little Rain Never Stops a Seattleite from Shopping; 32 Sales Last Week
Last week we enjoyed the last bit of sunshine we’ll see in what seems like an eternity, and when the rain started to come down, those headed indoors to close on their home sales seemed to be flocking to the Capitol Hill and Downtown neighborhoods. Last week there were 32 sales, including two units in Escala; a two bedroom on the 3rd floor, and a 2 bed 2 bath on the 12th. Another unit sold in the Cosmopolitan Condominium, and a 1 bedroom in the Watermark Tower. Check out our features sales this week include a 1 bedroom in Belltown’s Klee complex, an Eastlake Modern, and a funky Columbia City contemporary townhome.
2717 Western Ave #4018
This 1 bed 1 bath in Belltown’s Klee Lofts features 10 ft high ceilings, an expansive living room, plenty of natural light, and beautiful hardwood flooring throughout. While there is plenty of storage for the unit’s size, I’d find it inconvenient that the only clothing closet is located in the hallway; hopefully the tenant hides their personals before their move in party. The private balcony has a partial view of the Sound, and some of the Klee amenities include access to the communal covered terrace, fitness center access, and this particular unit is actually small dog friendly. The kitchen has a long granite breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances and blonde cabinetry. This unit sold in a little less than a month for 104% of the original asking price, and went for $250,000.
2615 Boylston Ave E Unit B
This newly built 3 bed 3 bath Eastlake baby screams modern with it’s exposed iron beams, piping and air ducts. The kitchen practically has enough counter space for an iron chef competition, and features a top level kitchen appliance package, Sub-zero refrigerator, and a chic hipster must have; the Miele latte machine. Hardwood flooring throughout, with a built in fireplace in the living room, and a ton of natural lighting; it even appears the basement bedroom isn’t as dark and dreary as most lower levels can be. Love all of the patios, ( the upper two patios and the roof top deck have views) and the roomy soaking tub in the upper bath. This one sold in a little over a month for just under $860,000.
3015 S Nevada St
This 2 bed 2 bath Columbia City dwelling is very in-sync with recent BDR Built homes with nicely finished granite counter tops in the kitchen, master bath and powder room. This unit sits in BDR’s newest “Built Green” certified community Allegro townhomes, and includes $30k in upgraded BDR luxury features, (although they’re unspecified what that includes) all upgraded appliances, and wide plank hardwood flooring throughout, and custom tiling in the kitchen and baths. The private backyard features an extended covered patio, which will come in handy with these wet fall days we have to look forward to.
