On this 17th day of December my editor said to me: 29 sales last week in the slump month? Obviously sales aren’t solid as Matt has reported last week, but big sales are still coming through, with two in Olive 8 last week over $450k, and a $1.7 Mil sale in Fifteen Twenty One. Seven sales above the $450k mark came through last week, with the majority in the downtown and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. This week we’ll feature a 2 bedroom at the Vine, a contemporary unit in Capitol Hill, and a one bedroom in Cap Hill with an industrial vibe.

This top floor corner unit at the Vine sold for 98% of the original asking price after just over 3 months on the market. Even for a corner room this one has some serious views- Sound, Mountain, Needle, City, maybe even Mt Baker. The kitchen seems a bit small, but the open floor plan and abundant wall of windows might add something else to the overall appeal of the space. Bamboo flooring throughout, high-end appliances, and built ins make for a unique living space. Two parking spaces come with the unit, and I enjoy all of the custom lighting, (Is that a red light in the bedroom for real, or special effects?!)

This 2 bed 2.5 bath contemporary home in the Brix condos went pending in just a little over a week, and features it’s own cute private courtyard entrance. The look and feel of this unit is for the industrial lovers at heart, with all of the wood posts, and exposed air ducts. I like the kitchen, with plenty of granite counter space (considering the sf), and the open floor plan likely makes the living room appear larger than it actually is. The larger of the bedrooms is an open loft, (although it technically has a door that can be closed) with a walk in closet, and the building has a pretty nice community roof top deck for entertainment,weather permitting.
