Must See Seattle Open Houses for August 10 and 11
According to the weather report, this weekend might not be as bright and sunshiny as weekends past. You’re in luck in some ways, because there are lots of indoor activities you can take advantage of in the form of 116 open houses happening in Seattle proper. Here are some of our top picks, including a Lake Union waterfront condo, brand new City Cabin units in Beacon Hill, and a newly renovated ultra-modern Queen Anne condo.
Open House: Saturday, Aug 10, 12pm-4pm
The first thing that catches my eye about this listing is the fact that it’s referred to as one of Martha Rose’s brand new City Cabin (CC) homes. What it means is that it’s a green home (5-Star Built Green, to be exact) that is optimized for the best energy efficiency while offering all the comforts of home. They might look like your average modern home on the outside, but take a step inside and you’ll see a quirky mix of log-cabin features like wooden beams and accents mixed with industrial influences, such as concrete floors. It looks like a pretty slick 3 bedroom North Beacon Hill townhome. Currently priced at $450,000 with what looks like at least another unit available as well.
Open House: Sat (Aug 10) and Sun (Aug 11), 1pm-4pm
If there’s ever a time when everyone wants to live at the Lake Union waterfront, it’s likely now in the heat of summer. For those of us whose love affairs with the lake extend beyond the summer season, this 2-bedroom Eastlake condo might be your dream home! Built in 2000, this modern corner unit spans 2 levels and is equipped with essentials like a chef’s kitchen, custom built closets, and a 5-piece master bathroom. Curiously, the master bedroom is located on the first floor. The unit has a southwest facing exposure and 3 decks plus a rooftop terrace to really maximize its close proximity to the lake. You get great views of the lake and some of the floating home communities.
Open House: Sunday, Aug 11, 1pm-4pm
We’d be remiss to not include a Queen Anne home in our open house post, so here’s one! Skim through this condo’s photo gallery, and you’d never know the building it’s in was built in 1963. This 2 bedroom unit was recently renovated, and it was very nicely designed to be a sleek and ultra modern loft. Among its best features is an expansive wall of glass that offers a 180-degree view of all of Seattle’s key features, along with a sweeping lanai so the view can be enjoyed from indoors or outdoors. Unit is newly listed at a price of $799,000.
