Must See Open Houses for June 21 and June 22
On these longest days of the year, there’s plenty of daylight to check out some of the 341 Open Houses this weekend! Here are three options to get you started this weekend. An historic conversion and two brand new townhomes, both with great lake- and city-view decks. Have to start thinking about 4th of July…2015.
Neighborhood: Capitol Hill
Open House: Sunday, June 22nd, 1-4 pm
This Capitol Hill 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath listed at $465,000 is housed in the landmark Firehouse 25 building, built in 1908. On the border of the Pike Pine Triangle, many great shops, restaurants, and bars are within a close walk. Period details, like high ceilings, arched windows, and exposed brick were stylishly maintained alongside the addition of stainless appliances and a contemporary tile backsplash. Stairs lead to an upstairs bedroom suite with a separate sitting area/home office that leads out to a charming terrace with rooftop views – a great respite from the bustle below.
Open Houses: Friday, June 20th, 5-7:30 pm and Saturday, June 21st and Sunday, June 22nd, 2-4 pm
Be the first owner of this 2 bedroom, 1.75 bath unit in Johnston Architects’ 7-unit LEED Platinum community in Fremont. Both the townhouse and the building are loaded with green features: triple-pane windows, radiant heat, on-demand hot H20, whole-house ventilation, heat exchanger, low-maintenance native plants, and rain harvesting. This spacious 1,700 home also has a den/media room, backyard patio, underground parking/storage, and a roof deck with Lake Union, city, and mountain views. A good value for the square footage and features at $660,000.
Open Houses: Saturday June 21st, 1-5 pm and Sunday, June 22nd, 1-5 pm
As we head into summer, the main selling point for this 2 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse in Eastlake has to be its rooftop deck. Sure, the other two properties I’ve profiled have them too, but this home’s 180-degree views of Downtown, Lake Union, and Ship Canal are stunning. I’ll let you decide whether or not they warrant the $749,950 price tag, but what a great place to relax throughout the year. The Acacia hardwoods, in-floor radiant heat, Bellmont cabinets, quartz counters, and southern exposures are a nice bonus.
