Beat the Heat – Apartments with A/C

With the mercury hovering around 90, I know that many of you have been seeking refuge in lakes, malls, and movie theaters. If you’d rather keep cool at home and didn’t make it to Home Depot before the window units sold out, maybe you should consider an apartment with central air. Here’s our pick list, including highlights for a few:
507 Northgate
Arthouse
Aspira
AVA Ballard/Belltown/Queen Anne/UDistrict
AVA communities are just that, buildings that go beyond being only an apartment. The Ballard location is at the junction of Market and 15th, convenient to all the shops, restaurants, activities, and nightlife that Ballard has to offer, plus a quick ride into Downtown. Although, you don’t ever have to leave home. The eco-friendly building features retail space on it’s main floor, shared work spaces with wi-fi access and modern art, entertainment spaces with video games, a fitness center, a fire pit, and a bbq on the rooftop deck. In addition to A/C, units feature quartz counters, stainless appliances, in-unit washer/dryer, and more.

At the center of Midtown, where South Lake Union, Denny Triangle, and Belltown converge, sits The Martin. Self-described as the “ultimate metropolitan nest”, there isn’t much you can’t find within easy walking distance. In fact, I really can’t think of a thing, other than perhaps strip malls and chain restaurants. There are ZipCars on site, if you really need to get away, but there’s a rooftop pea patch if you’re desperate to commune with nature, and you can reserve the guest quarters and have friends and family come to you. Apartment amenities include the usuals, but do you really care as long as there’s cool air shooting out of a vent?

If you’re a sports fan, The Wave is perfect for you. Located in Stadium Place, there’s a good chance your air conditioned apartment will have views right into The Clink. It’s right next door to Century Link, and only a couple of block to Safeco. If you’re not a sports fan, no worries! The Wave is also convenient to art galleries, music venues, the International District, the waterfront and ferry dock, and plenty more. The building is also filled with fantastic amenities. The top two floors (of 26) are resident sky lounges. There is a spa-like fitness facility and three rooftop decks with fire pits, grills, and heaters for when the weather isn’t scorching. Take note of the Summer Special: Lease an apartment by July 30th and get one month free rent.
