Dowell Residence Gets a Kundig Refresh

Last year we wrote about the Dowell residence, a mid-century modern designed by Paul Hayden Kirk in Seward Park that was for sale in Seward Park.

The home ended up selling to winemaker Charles Smith who hired Olson Kundig to give it a refresh. The Seattle Times has all the details, Winemaker Charles Smith moves to Seattle and into a Midcentury marvel:

“We hit the refresh button on the whole house. If Kirk walked in knowing what we know now, what would he do?” is how Smith puts it.
