Heron House: a Northgate MCM

By January 14, 2016

North Seattle

Wow! What a mid-century modern at 1223 NE 108th St, known as the Heron House (any relation to the REM song?).

Set on .29 acres, along side a creek, this mid-century home designed in 1952 by Albert Fenwick Simonson feels very private and rural but yet is very close to Northgate for all your shopping and transit needs.

After being purchased last year in March for $401k (check out those before photos!) it was restored by the House Healers. Restored is putting it mildly! What an incredible amount of work they must have done to modernize this home and property.

Sounds like the open house yesterday was a mad house.
