The Publix is Now Leasing

By June 17, 2016

We can confirm that The Publix is now accepting applications for the leasing of their units – which range from studios to 3 bedrooms and in price from $1,200 – $3,375.

The 7-story and 125 unit building is by Spectrum Development Solutions and will allow move-in on August 15th. It’s location in Chinatown and the International District is adjacent other neighborhoods (such as Pioneer Square and Downtown) and easily accessible with close transit and access to the highways.

The building itself actually used to the The Publix Hotel – which was built for migrant workers as a “single room occupancy.” The rooms have come a long way from containing only a bed, sink and four coat hooks! But it’s an awesome piece of history to share in.

The units vary in size and amenities, but from the model interiors that have photographed so far, it looks like they have some great details and modern upgrades. The building still contains several historic features as well, which blends the old and the new nicely.

The rental rates appear to be reasonable for the new construction and the area is known for it’s authentic cuisine, so I imagine it will be a top choice among local foodies.

If you’re interested, you can submit an online application on their website.
