A Look at the Madison Tower / Hotel 1000 Lobby Makeover

By January 3, 2018

Madison Tower

Loews Hotel 1000, which shares space with the Madison Tower condos above, just completed a huge renovation.

Condo owners must be happy to have had the hotel foot the bill!

From the DJC article, Loews Hotel 1000

Dark finishes in the lobby were replaced with white finishes, and walls opened to let in more light. The design takes inspiration from the Puget Sound, with a glass-beaded wall in the foyer meant to recall the water on a sunny day. A light fixture made up of more than 250 hand-blown LED glass droplets acts as β€œan artistic representation of the rain.”

The restaurant remodel hearkens back to 1936, when the site housed a bait and tackle shop. Rustic finishes such as white-washed wood, metal and white brick bring to mind fishing boats.
