Modern Capitol Hill Home
A blog reader and I were recently lamenting that for all the houses on Capitol Hill, there just isn’t many “urbnlivn worthy” homes on the Hill. Which makes sense, Capitol Hill is an old neighborhood with many great older homes that’d be a crime to teardown, so not many new homes have been built. And the homes that are being torn down are being replaced by bland “modern” townhomes…
However, today a great home did just come up for sale which I immediately emailed over to him saying, here’s one!
930 Broadway Ave E was built in 1921 but was effectively rebuilt in 2014.
What makes it noteworthy? From the street, it looks like it fits on Capitol Hill, but in an updated modern way. Inside, we love the crisp clean interior lines. The kitchen looks timeless, and we love that it opens to the garden/patio in the back. Looks like the seller is an architect based on that plotter and drafting table in the study, and we approve of the Gramercy Cellars wine collection. And it has solar!
Priced at $2.385m it is 3,146 square feet with 4 bedrooms, 3.25 bathrooms on a 5,000 square foot lot. Plus it is just blocks from the action of Broadway.
No offer deadline…
