The Floating Home We Used to Rent is For Sale

By June 28, 2018

Log Foundation

The floating home we rented for three years just hit the market!

2025 Fairview Ave E #A was our introduction to the floating home lifestyle and we have many good memories from living there – some great Fourth of July parties, impromptu floatie parties, bringing our daughter home, and more.

Before hitting the market they made some updates from when we lived there, most notably outside, this home was known as the big yellow floating home but it has been newly painted. Inside, they updated the kitchen, laundry room and re-finished the floors.

What we loved about the home was the rooftop deck with great views of downtown and the lake, seeing the Space Needle while laying in bed, that it had three bedrooms and three bathrooms and a den, which is rare! And perhaps best of all, being able to come home from work in the summer and relax with a beer in the water.

Many people want the floating home on the far end of the dock but we found that having the home closest to shore had some nice perks:

  • Closer to your car – less far to lug groceries and luggage
  • No neighbor on one side!
  • Watch the wildlife that uses the bank. There was a beaver that frequently munched on greens and the raccoons raided the cherry tree

Priced at $1.795m, there is no offer deadline. If you have questions about it or the floating home lifestyle, let me know, happy to help.
