Market Report

The big news this week is that the stock market plunged and mortgage rates hit a seven year high.

Prior to the market plunging, our listing at Monique went pending in three days and Spire, the new high rise at the north end of Belltown had over 125 (refundable) reservations (but this is a far cry from what happened at Nexus and Koda.)

As expected for this time of year, the number of new listings this week declined week-over-week. Of the 325 listings that did hit the market, not much caught our eye this week. Just a mid-century on Mercer Island and a place at Madison Lofts is all.

In the trenches, we’re seeing more and more buyers trying lowball offers on listings that have been sitting. Some are working, some aren’t. You don’t know if you don’t try!

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
