Shoresmith Condos Coming to SLU

Looks like Shoresmith a multi-family residential building going up at 1170 Republican Street in South Lake Union will be 113 condos and not apartments as they originally planned. The sales center will open spring of 2020. Currently it is a hole in the ground, so likely still a few years from completion.
The developer is Plus Capital who is also building a condo at 1516 2nd Ave. On their site they describe the project as:
Shoresmith is a 113-unit condo development project is located at the intersection of Republican Street and Minor Ave N in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. Named after a legend of a fictional historical Seattle persona, the ‘values’ of the Shoresmith project is intended to create Comfort, Inclusivity, Serenity, Nature and Ease. Shoresmith will feature a for-sale option at a price point that few places in Seattle can offer. This ‘value-proposition’ will start with homes in the $200,000’s to just less than $1M.
The project’s amenities will include a corner retail space, a ground-floor library and social room, along with a second-floor fitness room and an expansive outdoor patio and ‘community room.’ The top of the building, which features views of the Space Needle, Lake Union, the South Lake Union, Queen Anne and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. A building concierge will be on hand 12 hours a day.
Of course, the most significant amenity will be the proximity and livelihood of the South Lake Union neighborhood with all that it has to offer.
