Weekly wrap-up: Madison Park home sells for $550k over asking
Last week was a record week with 334 homes going under contract in Seattle, up 20% week-over-week and more than any week last year. (The busiest week last year saw 293 home go under contract.) Sellers were also busy listing over 400 homes last week. This will be a slower week due to the 4th of July holiday weekend.
With 400 new listings, there were so many great mid-centuries – our fave is likely this Cougar Mountain mid-century followed by this Madison Park mid-century by Carl Gould Jr., then an updated Magnolia mid-century, a Magnolia mid-century for under $900k, and a Mercer Island 1969. Speaking of mid-centuries, have you backed the Paul Hayden Kirk Kickstarter yet? It is so close to getting funded!
And great contemporaries too – we dig this remodeled Queen Anne Ralph Anderson for $2.5m and this Mercer Island Ralph Anderson. As well as this 1979 Mercer Island by McKinley architects and a 1985 Mercer Island contemporary.
