‘Marrying Millions’ couple selling Green Lake home with cat treehouse
There’s a lot going on with this $1.5 million home in Green Lake. It’s the home of Nonie Creme, founding creative director of Butter London. She’s also a star in Lifetime’s reality series “Marrying Millions” along with partner Reese Record. Perhaps the most exciting part (to me): a little treehouse designed for cats, complete with a little, protected catio bridge connecting it to the main house. (There’s a little hobbit door in the upstairs den. It’s very cute.)
The 1908 home has been extensively remodeled into something decidedly more modern, although some of the old bones are there in bay windows, cased openings, and window banks. The sleek design has whimsical surprises here and there: a subway-tiled front entry with papered roof, statement chandeliers in the foyer and dining room, a bold bedroom wallpaper.
While the cat amenity sure is a headline, there’s plenty here for humans, too. Four bedrooms include a suite with a five-piece bath and a private deck. The lower level is a mother-in-law apartment with almost-full kitchen, a fireplace, and a cute patio—it’s currently an Airbnb, but it could become a longer-term rental. It’s just a couple of blocks to Green Lake, too.
