The Blaine Stairs, a 2-unit townhome at the foot of the Blaine Stairs is uber modern and very unique. An agent once described it as “if James Bond had a summer condo in Seattle, this would be it. Sleek, modern styling, automatic blind raising/lowering buttons, glass partitions.”

Built in 2012 by Dovetail (a very high-end general contractor) and designed by Mithun (Mosler Lofts, Brix, Gallery) these two townhomes were built for the discerning buyer (just check out the metal work!)

Oddly they never sold when they hit the market in 2012, were rented out (we tried to rent one!), and eventually sold in 2017.

If you missed out in 2012 and again in 2017, the northern unit, 812 E Blaine St, just hit the market. At 1,900 square feet it is 3 bedrooms with 1.75 bathrooms. I love the floor-to-ceiing windows, custom fireplace, massive raw edge island, floating stairs, radiant concrete floors… It is one of a kind (err two of a kind?).
