Weekly wrap-up: last surge of pendings before the holidays

By December 14, 2020

Et cetera

The post-Thanksgiving listing surge the week before last meant we saw a bump in buyers going under contract this past week. Not surprisingly new listings declined as we approach the holidays. At this point most sellers will wait until the new year to list. So not much caught our eye, just this amazing penthouse loft at 97 S Jackson (it is likely the best view loft in the city.) If it is out of your budget, here’s a more affordable loft that just hit the market in the same building.

The numbers for November are out – the single-family home market is cooling off for winter, but still hot. Meanwhile, the condo numbers are baffling to me as it is so hard to sell a condo in downtown/South Lake Union/Capitol Hill right now but the data says the median price citywide is up year-over-year.

As for our remodel – put the window order in, reviewed cabinet shop drawings and building wrap is going on.

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
