Weekly wrap-up: busy first week of 2020

By January 12, 2021

Et cetera

The Seattle market had a very strong first week of the year with new listings up 154% and buyers going under contract up 75% versus the first week of last year. This could be attributed to January 1st falling in week 1 2020 but not week of 2021, but if you compare week 1 2021 to week 2 2020, new listings are still up 134%.

While new listings were up, not much caught our eye except a loft at Monique Lofts. I expect the floodgates on good new listings to really open after MLK day…

If you’re thinking of buying this year check out our home buying guide. We also have a home buying class coming up January 27th at noon. If you’re thinking of selling, check out our home selling guide. Or just hit reply, happy to chat!

Thanks to everyone who donated to our Mary’s Place fundraiser! We raised $2,415 which I then offline matched and rounded up so together we donated $5,000!

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
