Seattle weekly wrap-up: 3rd slowest week of the year for new listings

By September 8, 2021

Market Report

Hope you had a good long weekend!

Not surprisingly last week was one of the slowest weeks of the year for new listings – at less than 200 new listings it was the third slowest coming in behind the week leading up to the 4th of July and the first week of the year. But you can expect a big bump in new listings this week. We’ll then see new listings start to slow down as we approach November.

For buyers hoping to buy this year, this means your time is now. You’ll have two more months of good selection.

For sellers hoping to sell this year, the sooner the better as buyer interest wanes the closer we get to Thanksgiving and the winter holidays.

So far this week some good new listings – a large Pioneer Square loft, a Capitol Hill loft in an old fire station, a modern rambler on Mercer Island and here’s a mid-century project in Innis Arden! We also re-listed a Fremont standalone with a rare two-car garage.

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
