Eastside weekly wrap-up: new listings flat for third week in a row

By October 18, 2021

Market Report

For the third week running, new listings have been relatively flat on the Eastside. Hopefully this means good news for buyers, especially since new listings are surprisingly up in Seattle for the second week in a row. More listings anywhere should lessen competition. That said, pending sales were up this past week as well so the competition is there on the Eastside – more below!

With remote-first continuing, buyers are looking to Lynnwood and Bothell as an Eastside and Seattle alternative and it has been hot! We lost out on another home in Lynnwood that went more than 10% above list price. We also tried to get an offer in on another house in Bothell but the sellers accepted an all cash offer at list price a day after coming on the market – they’re buying another home and wanted assurance their home sale would close in time. Can’t blame them but they definitely could have gotten above list price waiting a few more hours!

If you’re hunting along the waterfront, check out this midcentury on Lake Sammamish that is ready for interior finishing. In Redmond, an 8.4 acre estate is for sale complete with a putting green, 100 foot long shop/barn and an impressive water feature. Also check out this new construction NW contemporary on Mercer Island.
