Eastside weekly wrap-up: it continues to look a lot like Christmas

Market Report

Hopefully everyone is staying warm and safe out there in this snow! There’s going to continue to be snow on and off all week so drive carefully and don’t be afraid to chain up your tires and drive slow. We spent the trip to Leavenworth and back with chains on and were surprised to be driving back out of Snoqualmie Pass into a worse snowstorm in Bellevue/Issaquah/Renton. Well worth it!

26 brave sellers put their homes on the market last week, marking the slowest week of the year for new listings (unsurprising with Christmas falling on a Saturday). Buyers continued to be busy, putting 44 homes under contract before the weekend. I’m expecting another slow week of listings and an equally slow week for buyers before the new year starts.

Thanks to everyone who donated to our fundraiser for Mary’s Place! Mary’s Place provides safe, inclusive shelter and services to support women, children, and families on their journey out of homelessness. If you’ve enjoyed this our insights and market reports, please donate as we’re short of our $2,021 pre-match goal (we’re at $1,725). Since we have so much to be thankful for this year, we will match every donation! (If you’re not on Facebook, just forward us your receipt and we’ll match it.)
