Eastside weekly wrap-up: new listings pull back 6% week-over-week

By January 29, 2022

Market Report

To buyer dismay, new listings dipped a bit this week with just 137 sellers putting their homes on the market. The 6% drop week-over-week is going to be great for the sellers that did list as buyer demand is still through the roof. We’re continuing to advise buyers to patient until March when the new listing season typically takes off.

From the trenches, a home in Issaquah and a home in Maple Valley received multiple offers above $1.5M, 30% and 20% over list price respectfully. The Issaquah home received an early offer but holding to the review date certainly paid off for the seller! This remodeled home in Kirkland received multiple early offers and word on the street is that the winning offer was $1.4M.

For homes we liked this week, a couple of new construction plans look stunning! Two contemporary homes, one in Bellevue and one in Kirkland, both slated to be completed this year. The home that took the prize this week though is a 1964 Ralph Anderson in Medina – $7.4M will get you a home designed by one of the PNW’s iconic architects with 180 degree views of Lake Washington, Seattle, and the Olympics!
