Eastside weekly wrap-up: new listings drop; pending sales rebound

By April 17, 2022

Market Report

On the Eastside, new listings dropped 8% week-over-week after climbing the last few weeks. Due to the holiday weekend and school breaks happening all over King County, this is not unexpected. What was nice to see was pending home sales rebounding after dropping for a few weeks. Buyers got the memo that there were more homes on the market than buyers!

Sellers, as Matt suggests, now is the time to sell your house before we hit the peak levels of inventory (May/June). Buyers, you might be thinking of pausing the search due to interest rates but competition should be easing off soon…even though rates are likely to go higher.

Homes to check out this week are this $4M Bellevue geodesic dome, a $3.4M NW contemporary Kirkland new construction, and everyone is buzzing about Russell Wilson’s house in Bellevue!

For homes with water, Matt really likes this $12M Issaquah home on Lake Sammamish. If water-front isn’t your thing, I like this $7.2M Modern Zen home in Redmond with a reflection pool, heated swimming pool, oh…and an 8-car garage.
