Seattle weekly wrap-up: slow week due to spring break

By April 15, 2023

Market Report

Slow week for new listings due to spring break with new listings down 10% off the peak so far this year. Expect this coming week to be busier though! Looking at the number of active listings right now, it is crazy to think that there are many homes for sale this past week as the first week of December.

As for buyers, they put 191 listings under contract, down 13% week-over-week.

As for bidding wars, this Whittier Heights home had 9 offers, while this one had 8. In West Seattle, this home had 5 offers. But don’t despair, 80% of active listings have been on the market more than seven days. Likely no bidding wars for them.

We were busy listing a Central District home previously featured in Dwell. It could be yours for $800k. We also helped a buyer negotiate nearly 7% off a condo at Bellevue Towers and gave the keys to a buyer excited about their new Kirkland condo with a pool.

What caught my eye? A 1960s time capsule in Broadview, a stunningly remodeled 1973 home on Beach Drive, and a compound on the Sound with 253′ of sandy beach and a pool. In the San Juans, check out this modern cabin near Moran State Park.

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
