Eastside weekly wrap-up: another strong week for new listings
We keep expecting the market to behave like either 2020 or 2019 and last week we were expecting the pace of new listings to slow down similar to 2019. Well, this past week was another strong week for new listings (similar to 2020)! 301 sellers got their homes on the market this past week as buyers came back from the holiday weekend in force. 274 homes were put under contract in response to all the new listings that came on the market after the holiday. Whether we’re following 2019 or 2020, new listings will slow down soon until September. For buyers, this means that the listings that do come on will likely be more competitive than you might think!
For homes that we liked this week, this NW contemporary from MN Custom Homes in Clyde Hill and this west-facing contemporary from Bender Chaffey in Kirkland. We also loved this mid-century modern in Hunt’s Point, this modern home designed by McCullough Architects on Mercer Island, this Newport Shores contemporary with southwest exposure, and this Woodlands retreat in Redmond.
For those looking for new construction, Toll Brothers recently announced that their sales centers are open and ready to work with buyers. We’ll have this and more in our July new construction update coming soon. If you’re looking for new construction on the Eastside, we can help curate a list of the right developments just for you – give us a call!
