1111 E Pike On Sale

Thanks to a tip to a reader I see that 27-unit new construction project on Capitol Hill, 1111 E Pike, is on the market. Unit #501 is 793 square feet making it a pricey $567/square foot putting it above neighborhoring Trace North in price (also new construction).

“Immediate occupancy” and the sales center opens July 13th. Sadly, the listing only has renderings and not photos of the completed units.

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!

I know Tom Kundig is a badass architect and Anne Michaelson is a legend, but they both deserve a better website than what they got. I mean the link to the marketing group working on this didn't work and yeah, its finished so why not real pics. I don't get it – this is a competitive market, so why are folks so lax? Make it vibrant and competitive, and accurate. And please, I hope those puzzle board pieces are not made of MDF. Please marketing team, get a clue – work it! We expect more and we know you can do it.

I followed this project closely, but every time I walk past it I get less excited. I should check out the sales center but the detailing at the front of the building so far is less inspiring than the initial renderings. Basically it looks like cheap MDF.

$449k for that condo is crazy 2007 era pricing. You can buy a resale condo in a highrise condo like 5th and Madison that is $50k less expensive, larger and you are in a steel and concrete building that will be a lot quieter than a wooden construction like 1111 East Pike.

Yeah, it's an ideal project if you want to overpay for a wooden condo in Pike with an architects name attached to it. Personally I'd rather spend less, get more room and live somewhere a little quieter. You can walk a couple of blocks to the nightlife, rather than living ten feet above it.

MDF is a cheap particleboard siding used in condo's. It tends to age poorly.

hey bruno, I'm not a pitchman for a real estate company, but I do like to know the context of places I might be interested in buying – olson sundberg kundin allen architects have done some interesting and innovative projects over the years – hence the badass comment. Anne Michaelson was in pike pine back in the day and is one of the reasons why it doesn't all look like the qfc with a subway. So, I'm not pitching, its just the context of these people who are involved in this project. I think knowing about where we live and who is involved in it is important; particularly if they want you to shell out your hard earned dough. So, here's this project folks, including myself, have been interested in seeing what it actually looks like as a finished product, it put on the MLS and….renderings? Links that don't work and crappy website. If the marketing team doesn't have its s*** together as they are about to launch a high profile project, it gives me pause and makes me think what else is jacked up. And I think Anne and Tom deserve a little better. I'm one of those total package people with that stuff and I think many of us have had to deal with crazy situations with some of these marketing teams, who think buzz is enough and they don't have to come correct, as it were. So, yeah, if they want people to part with $500,000, i just think they should have thing a little more in order. I'm just saying.

Thank you everyone for the lively discussion. We made a promise very early on to make sure our earliest followers of the project had a chance to view Eleven Eleven prior to the general public. Live photography and an updated website will be coming soon to coincide with our grand opening.

Interior finishes were chosen because they are renewable and sustainable which is consistent with the architect's and owner's beliefs.

As always, we welcome everyone to take a few minutes to stop by to take a look for yourselves. I've been doing condominium work for many years and am very excited about 1111 East Pike.
