DR Horton buys 32 acres in Woodinvile
In a market starved for inventory, any news of a homebuilder acquiring more land is big news! Marc Stiles at the Puget Sound Business Journal is reporting that the nation’s largest homebuilder, DR Horton, has bought 32 acres at a price of $19 million according to public records. This is especially big news because parcels of that size are incredibly hard to come by in the Puget Sound area.
Today, only a horse farm stands on the property but public records also show that DR Horton has been issued demolition permits so it seems like they’re getting to work right away. City of Woodinville permitting records show that DR Horton is planning to build 87 townhomes and seven single-family houses.
