Eastside weekly wrap-up: buyers still active despite fewer listings

By August 30, 2021

Market Report

New listings on the Eastside dropped another 5% week-over-week as most sellers continue to hold off until after Labor Day to put their home on the market. I expect this week to be even slower. If you’re wondering why this week has 100% more listings than 2019, it’s because Labor Day was was nearly a week earlier so the quietest week was this one.

Either way, fewer listings did not deter the buyers set on getting under contract before the holiday weekend. 11% more homes went under contract week-over-week.

For homes we liked this week, our favorite was definitely this $2.4M Ralph Anderson designed home in Bellevue. For waterfront living, don’t miss this $14M north-facing estate on Lake Sammamish. The first generation cedar interior of this NW classic in Holmes Point is worth checking out!

I am a broker and contributing writer for Urban Living. I love condos & townhomes and helping people find the next space they call home!
