Eastside weekly wrap-up: biggest week for new listings this year (35% increase!)

Sellers! Welcome back from spring break! This week was the biggest week of the year for new listings with 187 homes hitting the market, a 35% increase week-over-week. It’s a welcome site as active inventory increased to 608 properties across the Eastside. Don’t get too excited though as inventory is still down 35% year-over-year. So not a ton of options for buyers out there but they’re increasing as buyers stay selective with what they’re looking for and their budgets. Only 115 homes went under contract this week which is not surprising due to the slow week previous during school breaks. We might be a broken record but buyers, stay patient. Not every home is going under contract each week but we’re seeing a lot of competition on homes that are either in great condition, priced well or both.

What stood out to us? It was a big week for waterfront properties on the Eastside! We love this renovated contemporary home in Medina’s Gold Coast neighborhood for $8.9M. Also in Medina, don’t miss this $21.5M modern stunner designed by Wendell Lovett. For $4.2M in Bellevue’s Southampton neighborhood, a fully remodeled home inspired by the coast and and also from the coast, a $10.5M Nantucket-style home in Newport Shores. And Renton was not to be outdone with two homes in the Kennydale area – a $4.2M “beach” house remodeled and ready for summer and this $3.7M home went pending in just three days!
