Eastside weekly wrap-up: sellers are home for the holidays
It’s unsurprising that only 58 sellers put their homes on the market this week. We’re looking at just two weeks left in the year and with Christmas and New Year’s at the end of each of them, I’m expecting listings to not pick up until the first or second week of January. Most agent’s will advise their clients to not list over either holiday weekend.
That said, buyers are still watching their favorite home search sites avidly. A home in Lake Forest Park hit the market on Wednesday and had 60 tours scheduled through the end of Friday! Sellers will do continue to do very well for the serious buyers who are willing to compete for the few houses available. Buyers, be patient if you can! We’re just a few weeks away from inventory starting to climb again.
The only home that really caught my eye this week was this remodeled mid-century rambler in the Kennydale neighborhood of Renton. For $7M, you can own nearly a full acre on the west side of Lake Sammamish.
If the passes are open, we’ll be heading up to Leavenworth for a few days over Christmas which has got me checking out mountain homes. If you’re looking for a getaway, check out this $3M modern mountain home over looking the Wenatchee River. The home comes with two acres if you want to build additional homes nearby.
