I stumbled on this blog sometime in the last three days, Fast Times at 2200 Westlake and it features such gems as Who lives at 2200 Westlake?
So, who lives here at 2200? I’ll give it to you simple. The rich older folks live in the Aria tower. The middle-aged DINKs live in Arte and Azur. (FYI, DINK stands for Dual Income No Kids).
If you read some of the housing bubble websites, they’ve assumed that only spoiled yuppies live in this complex. While that might be true of shallow Belltown, I have not seen any evidence of yuppies at 2200. The problem? Yuppies can’t afford to live here. They have their equity tied up in their Belltown condos so they weren’t able to maneuver to buy here.

Long time reader, first time commenter.
I found his blog a little trite. He shoots from the hip, but offers little substance.
Amusing, sure, but I was disappointed. He focuses a lot on negative criticism without the balance of constructive criticism.
Matt, do you know of other condo dweller/buyer blogs? I’ve seen comsoseattle.blogspot.com. Most real estate blogs I’ve seen are agent driven - yours being somewhat of an exception of course. I’d love to see more consumer driven condo blogs - written by the occupant.

I found his comments a bit clownish and embarrassed that he actually live at the 2200. (From the inaccuracies on his blog, I hope he does not.)
The denizens of the 2200 are classic Pacific Northwest wealthies. Reserve, friendly, and certainly not clownish.

I take the blog for what it is… opinion, with a dash of humor. I don’t believe it’s intended as any kind of public service. Blogs that employ kind of “take it or leave it” approach is fine by me.
BTW, I’m definitely not in that mold of “classic Pacific Northwest wealthies” - and neither are my friends first neighbors… we’re just regular Joes (and Janes). =)

These 2200 comments and the Fast Time blog are fantastic. My friends and I can’t get enough of them. Are these people serious or are these rants scripted? I can’t imagine how to be upset about such petty and rediculous things. Keep up the great posts to amuse us poor folk.
