MLS Watch: Multi-level Places Downtown

Millennium Tower

You’d never guess that Millennium Tower, just across the streets from Redfin HQ , would have condos atop of it. Another (there’s already a few units on the market from $1.2 million to $8 million) just came on the market today for $4.6 million. It last sold in spring of ‘07 for $3.9 million.

Unit 1501 is 4,500 square feet, 3 beds, 3.5 baths, 2 stories, and on and on.

121 S Jackson

Unit 6 is back on the market. It went off in September. Oddly the 121 South Jackson site indicates it as sold. I wonder what happened? Anyhow, it’s 1,776 square feet, 2 beds, for just under a million.

And if you think you can buy either of these places on a salary of $20k a year you better read this article first, $1.5M condo on $20K income? Prospective buyers lose $175K in Bellevue.

How can anyone justify the price on that Millenium Tower condo? 2007 was the height of the boom - and they've increased the price over 10%!

If I were a betting man, I'd say Mr. $20K does not exist. Too bad the reporter didn't do any verification of the facts before treating us to the "Inquirer" version of this disingenuous story.
