A reader wonders if there are any new modern townhouses being built but not yet on the market? I’m not aware of any…

My understanding is they're in the $500k range. Plus looks like you just put all your units on the market :).

We just bought a pretty modern townhouse. It's not being build though. They still have one on the market:

There's a townhome construction site just north of Kerry Park, called Galer-8. I couldn't google the website but I'm sure it exists. I'm e-mailing the developer to FYI them about the post.

There's a construction site just north of Kerry Park, around 3rd Ave W & Galer, called Galer 8. Not sure if they'll really turn out to be townhouses or some other variation. The buildings are still under construction but are more developed than what's on Google Maps

To reader's question regarding new Townhouses not yet on market:

There is a cool project called The Sylvie: 307-317 14th Ave E Seattle, WA 98112. These are Leed certified (or soon to be, as construction is not yet completed) have great views, and a host of amenities/features similar to Eastlake Lofts, but in a slightly more traditional execution). The barrel roof's are in particular a stunning feature…can't wait to get inside one!

Kim Hobbs of Windermere will be the listing agent when they are completed. They are being built by a company called DB2 (formerly Archstone) who have a reputation of incredible build quality, and even better after sale customer service (I've sold three of their townhouses to clients who have been totally satisfied with their homes, now years into ownership).

Those townhomes are currently listed on the City Bank builder discount list, which means they are pre-REO and will be coming back to the bank soon.

There seems to be some stuff on 19th before John I think, terraview I think its called. check dwell development, gprojects, hybrid, there's a couple more of those websites to check out, the actual builders or developers. One think though that is a bit of a freak out are things that having been sitting with no crew, where tyvek is flapping around or framing has been exposed too long. I'm in the same boat with ya, looking around too.

There were some amazing ones by a German architect in Easlake, and I don't know if those are still available, he used some bold colors like red on the exterior. very cool. I'm sure 24th and Denny ones must have sold out by now.. Walton Group always has some modern townhouses!
