Black Friday Sale, or NEXUS Reservation Day?
NEXUS the ~350 unit condo building going up in Denny Triangle held their reservation day today and it was absolutely bonkers (though very efficiently run!).
Given that it was first-come, first-served, buyers had camped out overnight (!!!) and it didn’t take long until there was a line down the block and around the corner. We got there just before 8 and there must have been 25 people ahead of us and it took over thirty minutes for us to get in after they opened the doors at 11am. It is clear that Seattleites want to buy condos in a serious way. Hopefully this excitement spurs more development!
Given the hundreds of people there, my guess is that by the end of the day everything under $500 will be gone leaving them somewhere between 40-50% reserved.
Hats off to the sales and marketing firm Realogics, they ran this old-school style circa 2005 and 2006, and it worked!
