The Yale Boat Houses

By April 28, 2017

Eastlake

I see a lot of townhomes, and unfortunately, most of those townhomes are both poorly built and poorly designed (I do have a list of builders that my clients should not buy from). As a result, I’ve generally sworn off blogging about townhomes, but every now and then there’s an exception. The Yale Boat Houses are one of those such exceptions!

In Eastlake, at 2359 Yale Ave E, you’ll find four townhomes blocks from the water that were well designed. One is sold, three are available.

The one currently listed is 1,490 square feet with a bedroom on the lower level with polished concrete floors, a master on the main level, and the kitchen and living room is on the upper, third level. On the roof, you get great views of Lake Union as well as an outdoor kitchen with a sink, fridge, and they’re including a grill.

Some of the details everyone is sure to notice are the custom floating staircase with glass dividers, the high-end hardwood floors, rooftop kitchen. Other details, like how they hid the mini-splits compressor, you won’t know to appreciate, but you should!

Priced at $1.088m, these aren’t cheap, but they also aren’t cheaply built like most of the townhomes out there.

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
