We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! While our remodel is still not done (!!!) we had friends and family over for a great feast.

Not surprisingly, this past week is one of the quietest weeks of the year for buyers and sellers. Which is why Hendon is trying to spark sales with a 72-hour Black Friday sale. We took advantage of the quiet to check out the First Light sales center; they start sales December 12th.

Buyers, December can be a great time to buy. Many new construction projects are offering incentives if you’re either under contract or close by end of year, while regular sellers have likely been watching their homes linger on the market for a while and would love to be done before the holidays; you may be surprised at what you can negotiate! Plus, this past week we saw rates drop 13 basis points, the largest weekly decline since January 2015.
