Market Report

Wow, that was a snow storm! While most sellers held off listing these past two weeks, a few new listings still hit the market and we even heard a story or two of homes going pending with multiple offers.

We’re expecting this weekend and next week to be relatively quiet because this weekend is a 3-day weekend for some, and next week is mid-winter break for those with kids. So expect the week of the 28th to have *a lot* of new listings.

The other big news this week is that Amazon pulled back on their plans for a HQ2 in NY. While they’ve said they’re done expanding in Seattle after they finish their remaining 2 million square feet of office space, we’ll be surprised if that proves to be true. Meanwhile, the birthplace of Amazon is for sale if you’re looking for an Eastside home.

The new construction condo market is heating up with the Emerald starting sales on February 23rd (here’s our look at their sales gallery) as well, Encore in Columbia City is starting reservations that same day with a pop-up sales center and 750 on the Hill(formally known as Atrium) is back on the market and surprisingly, allowing Airbnb. If you’re looking for a new condo, we’ve toured all these projects and are happy to help you navigate the process.

A few great places caught our eye this week – an amazing Banner Building loft,  an original owner Ralph Anderson on Queen Anneand a custom BUILD home.

Enjoy the rain!
Matt
