Seattle weekly wrap-up: no spring break for real estate

By April 20, 2021

Market Report

Usually, the real estate market takes a breather over Seattle Public School spring break (which was last week), but not this year! Sellers were busy – new listings while only up 1.57% week-over-week, were up 70% over the same week in 2019. Buyers were busy too, putting a record 350 homes under contract.

While we don’t have kids in school yet, we did take the week off so I missed seeing some great listings – a $3m new construction home near Green Lake went pending in three days, this great Seward Park midcentury modern also went pending in three days, and then this view Beacon Hill midcentury is also pending. Not pending yet – an a-frame floating home reviewing offers today and a $2.2m Ravenna modern reviewing Thursday.

For lofts – unit #9 at the Firehouse 25 on Capitol Hill hit the market and is pending and #309 at 75 S Main St just hit the market today.

In terms of getaways – Rosario Resort & Spa is for sale. More realistic options include this Marrowstone Island waterfront home designed by Miller Hull or break out the tool belt for the two cabins on this waterfront property on San Juan Island.

And finally, how did I miss this place in North Bend!?

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
