Seattle weekly wrap-up: listings down 12%

Market Report

Summer might finally be here for the Seattle real estate market as new listings declined 12% last week. I expect we’ll continue to see new listings decline until after Labor Day. However, hot homes are still attracting multiple offers. Our Cental District townhome listing had 5 offers last week and is pending at 10% over asking and two of the three homes we’re offering on for clients this week are expecting multiple offers. For instance, the one we offered on this morning has 10 offers!

Our favorite listing last week was this “treehouse” across from Jefferson Park for $1.65m and there was a cool contemporary in West Seattle. Loft fans, a great penthouse hit the market at 80 S Jackson but if you’re on a budget check out this co-op for $375k.

Likely our favorite listing for this week will be these three cabins perched on the canal overlooking the locks.

Need a getaway? Here’s an Olson Kundig in Suncadia’s Tumble Creek for $3.4m.

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
