Seattle weekly wrap-up: new listings double!

By September 12, 2021

Market Report

New listings are back! We saw nearly 400 new listings this past week, double the week prior and bringing us back to the levels we see during some of the busiest weeks of the year. Buyers, don’t waste this time, we likely won’t see this many new listings until April 2022. For their part last week, buyers weren’t nearly as active as sellers but that isn’t surprising since buyers didn’t have much to choose from, from the week before.

The other news this week is that the numbers for August are out. For Seattle single-family homes, the median price continues to stay below its all-time high. This isn’t surprising, prices normally dip in the back half of the year (good for buyers, bad for sellers). For Seattle condos, the median price cools despite lots of condos selling.

With so many new listings, there were some good ones! We listed an amazing remodeled view penthouse loft and re-listed a co-op at the Gables and a Fremont standalone. Our faves from other agents include our neighbor’s floating home! Come join us on the water at Mallard Cove, the best place on the water. On land, we love this QA modern by Chris Pardo, a rambler on Mercer Island, a Pioneer Square loft, and a Capitol Hill loft in an old fire station.

On the Eastside, check out the cantilever on this modern, or the ceiling of this home in Juanita, or this mid-century rambler in Bellevue.

Need a getaway? Here’s a large contemporary on Icicle Cerek or how about this large geodesic dome on the Ty River!?

Go Hawks!

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
