Seattle weekly wrap-up: 37 offers in Bothell!?

By December 13, 2021

Market Report

Last week was a slow week for new listings but our buyers have been busy touring and offering! The craziest was a client of ours who offered on a house in Bothell that had 37 offers. Looking at the recent Eastside numbers, this result isn’t surprising as there is a supply of just 3 days of homes for sale on the Eastside. In Seattle, the supply of homes is 12 days, which sounds a lot better, but consider that for a market to be considered balanced there should be a six-month supply of homes.

The listing I’ve talked about the most this weekend was the floating home at 2031 Fairview Ave E. Built in 2018 it was an AIA Seattle Home of Distinction. Definitely a nice-looking floating home! But sadly a cash offer took it off the market today ahead of its Thursday offer deadline that the seller was apparently sticking to until they didn’t.

What else caught our eye last week is that the Sloop Tavern site is for sale, as is a 2-acre west-facing waterfront estate on Blakely Island and a late 60s mid-century home in Edmonds.

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
