Seattle weekly wrap-up: record number of new listings this week

There are still a lot of buyers out there! For instance, clients of ours offered on a Magnolia home this week listed at $1m and it had 29 offers and went 45% over asking. Of course, it should have been priced at $1.2m to start, but there are 28 buyers frustrated they didn’t win and still on the hunt. Fortunately, this week we saw more new listings than any other week this year and the next couple of coming weeks should be even busier.

We were busy this week listing a standalone townhome designed by Hybrid Architecture. It’d make a great townhome alternative or a modern tiny home at 910 square feet. We also listed a one-of-a-kind custom nearly 1,300 square foot modern condo at Lumen, and it has been very popular!

Our favorite new listings this week – a custom-built $3m home in Hawthorne Hills (we spent a lot of time there this week, it is special!), a $3.3m updated midcentury in Laurelhurst, a $3.6m new home in Portage Bay, a modern loft in Belltown, but my fave might be this NW contemporary on Mercer Island.

Heads up, our next Zoom home buying class is May 11th.
