Go See Condo Millennium
Tonight I went and saw the opening of Condo Millennium at the North West Film Forum with my Redfin co-worker Kevin who happens to be in the middle of closing on a condo at the Meridian. Judging by the look of the audience I felt like we were the only pro-real estate people there :).
If you read this blog I recommend you go see it Friday or Saturday. It hits home on a lot of fronts: whacky condo boards, whacky neighbors, gentrification, Dennis Saxman, Linda of Linda’s, Oddfellows (“glad the old landlords are out”), short term rentals at the Elektra, real estate agents, galley kitchens, tiny bedrooms and on and on. Though much of the second half is spent trying to answer, “what’s a home?” And they do all this in quite a varied format: they use film, they use song, they use monologues,… We of course were bummed there was no mention of Redfin or Urban Living.
For those that can’t make it I do hope they put a few clips up on YouTube. Especially the song about all the single name three-five letter long condos.
