Next meetup – June 27th

By June 18, 2007

Urban Living

Thanks to Carl we have a date and location for our next meetup. Please consider attending whether you’re a consumer in the market or an industry insider. With close to a thousand visitors a day I know there are a lot of us out there.

You’re Invited: Urban Living Meetup & Anniversary Celebration — Wednesday, 27-Jun-2007

by guest contributor Carl Goodman

Join us for our third in an occasional series of Urban Living Meetups, where you can share your passion for Urban Living.com, downtown Seattle and all things condo. Plus, we’ll be celebrating Matt’s one-year anniversary at the helm of his brainstorm, Urban Living.com, an absolutely unique blog equal parts consumer-empowerment tool, architectural critique, conflict-of-interest exposé, and personal chronicle of his craving for home ownership. (Not to mention an occasional source of juicy gossip.):

Wednesday, 27-Jun-2007
6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Paddy Coynes Irish Pub
1190 Thomas St., South Lake Union
(two blocks north of Denny Way, between Fairview Ave N and Minor Ave N)
No-host soda, full bar, appetizers and full menu will be available.

Let’s reinforce our online dialogues by getting to know each other offline. Whether you’re an active commentator on Urban Living.com or quietly observe the postings of others, here’s your opportunity to meet kindred souls passionate about uncovering some of the mysteries and exposing some of the rackets involved in marketing downtown residential real estate developments – and getting the mortgages needed to live in them.

But we’re not just skeptics. We celebrate our role in Seattle’s transformation into a denser, more vibrant, but still wild, metropolis. Our Meetups offer informal ways for each of us to impart tips and perspectives and help build a true sense of community.

Also, prolific bloggers, such as EconE, Seattle67, jo, Matthew, mhays, Dan C, you may be surprised at the buzz that your comments generate, so definitely try to attend to meet your fans (you won’t even need to own up to your respective nom de plumes). Unlike the ease of posting a flaming comment online, our Meetups are quite mellow, so no fisticuffs anticipated.

Hope you’ll celebrate with us on the 27th!
