Reader Updates Us On LQA Developments
Here’s a guest post from Phil our Queen Anne correspondent :).
There seems to be quite a few projects in the works around Seattle Center that I’ve missed. Also that new building at 100 Republican is coming along nicely and they are already installing the windows.
Elliott Bayview Apartments looks like it will be a nice place to live, currently the brickwork is going up. It’s on the SW side of Seattle Center at 151 John St.
Anyway, according to KOMO News…
A 7 story building at 416 John St. will include 119 hotel rooms on four floors and 54 residential units on the top two floors. Across from the Space Needle it replaces a parking lot. They will have another public design meeting before plans are approved.
“A six-story mixed-use development is planned for the block across the street from Key Arena, replacing Skybox Sports Lounge and a handful of parking lots, at 315 First Ave. N.” First public design meeting was on March 21.
Another 7 story is in the works for, “500 John St. will replace the Funhouse and an adjacent two-story office building. Plans call for 106 to 112 residential units, four live/work units and underground parking for 85 cars.” First public design meeting was on March 21.
Also a project at 801 Dexter Ave. N., “will contain ground-floor retail space, eight live/work units, 285 residential units and underground parking for 231 cars.” They are just waiting for final approvals.
